Sasha will be here June 25th - August 4th with the hosting group through New Horizons for Children. I am so excited to see him!! I have been working on his bedroom and scheduling appointments for him to see a Cystic Fibrosis specialist, have his teeth cleaned and get a haircut. We have lots of fun things on the calendar to do with him while he's here......We're going to take him fishing, to the lake to ride on the boat and waverunner, Stone Mountain Park, the Aquarium and lots of new things he's never experienced. He turned 10 on May 24th and we promised to have a birthday party when he got here too.
I talked to him on the phone on his birthday and he wanted to know what day he gets to Atlanta. I told him we will pick him up at the airport on June 25th. He asked me if he gets to stay forever this time. Unfortunately he has to go back for a little while longer. This process has been so frustrating and long. It's so sad when he ask things like that and I can't give him an answer...we are truly at the mercy of the Adoption Atty and the Russian govt...and they are in no hurry. We are hopeful to travel at the end of August to Russia for our first trip and then back for court sometime around October or November.
Please pray for things to be smooth and quick and for Sasha to be emotionally ready for all that is about to change in his little life.
